Welcome to the 2024 Ohio Council of Deliberation!

On behalf of the Ohio Council of Deliberation, Susan and I look forward to greeting you in Dayton at our annual session as together we Journey On in Scottish Rite Freemasonry. We are honored to have our Sovereign Grand Commander, Illustrious Walter F. Wheeler, 33°, join us for a very special presentation.

Meeting & Accommodation

Accommodations at the Marriott at the University of Dayton will be a special event rate of $149 per night, and may be booked below between March 1, 2024 and May 9, 2024. After May 9, reservations must be made directly with the hotel, and the special rate may no longer apply. The hotel can be reached at (937)223-1000.

Special Guests

Our guest speaker will be Linda Patch, Senior Director of Marketing and Communications, and Executive Editor of The Northern Light. Illustrious Walter F. Wheeler, 33°, Sovereign Grand Commander of the A.A.S.R. NMJ will present the distinguished Gourgas Medal to Illustrious Thomas N. Moe, 33°, in recognition of his distinguished service to our country.

Tickets for the banquet are $60 per person.

Note for ticket purchases: The ticket purchase link allows purchasing all event tickets at the same time. The purchase page permits changing quantities to your preference, but defaults to one of each ticket type. Please check that quantities are correct before submission!

On-site registration check-in begins on Friday May 31 from 2p-5p for distinguished guests, and resumes on Saturday June 1 from 7a-3p for all attendees.

Cancellation Policy

For room cancellations please call the hotel directly at (937) 223-1000. The Ohio Council of Deliberation understands that emergencies may arise; however, after May 16th, the Banquet and Ladies’ Program fees are non-refundable. When reservations are submitted, supplies and dinners are ordered in advance and OCD will have to cover these costs even if you cannot attend. Please contact George Tilden at (234) 900-5424 if you have made reservations and can no longer attend.
